7.   What are my expectations of Penang?

I expect Penang to be a fun yet familiar place as I have visited it quite a number of times. But viewing the itinerary, I think I would experience a whole new side of Penang.

Day 1 Reflections:
Every night, you will be typing a one-paragraph reflection using the sentence starters from each section below. Post the reflection on the blog upon completion daily.

As a Record of What Happened
The most important event that happened for me today was stargazing at the observatory as it was a first-time experience for me.

Insights Into What You Think and Feel About the Ideas or Issues
Something I would like to find more about is how stars are formed and how they can be related to Physics.

Thinking About Your Own Learning
I learn best when I get to see and experience hands-on activity that I am interested in.

Thinking More Deeply
I believe with more research and more advanced technology, astronomers would be able to see more galaxies and study stars more intimately.

Thinking About Alternative Points of View
When I heard what the others in my group thought I was surprised because I never knew there was so much information to note about astronomy.

Conclusions
In the future I would like to become more experienced in astronomy and learn more about it.

Day 2 Reflections:
Every night, you will be typing a one-paragraph reflection using the sentence starters from each section below. Post the reflection on the blog upon completion daily.

As a Record of What Happened
Something funny that happened was when I was watching others experiencing the Gyro Drop after I had my turn. Many slides were quite smooth and some people seemed to have exaggerated during the ride.

Insights Into What You Think and Feel About the Ideas or Issues
One of the things that surprised me was the robot performance as it was very unexpected and was right after we finished our trip to the observatory. I was surprised at how much it represented a normal human being.

Thinking About Your Own Learning
I really admire the way Dr Chong was telling everyone about the observatory as he was so enthusiastic and excited to show us “his world”.

Thinking More Deeply
I believe that with more time, we would have been able to experience all the exhibits.

Thinking About Alternative Points of View
When I heard what the others in my group thought I was surprised because I never knew many Physics concepts.

Conclusions
In the future I would like to learn more in-depth into many of these new concepts that I have learnt and how I can expressed them in different ways.

Day 3 Reflections:

Every night, you will be typing a one-paragraph reflection using the sentence starters from each section below. Post the reflection on the blog upon completion daily.

As a Record of What Happened
Thinking back over the day what I valued most was the rock climbing experience as it had been a long time since I last rock climbed and I have always loved the thrill of falling after completing a climb.

Insights Into What You Think and Feel About the Ideas or Issues
One of the things that surprised me was the different rock climbing walls as they each required different techniques to climb and were very tiring.

Thinking About Your Own Learning
I really admire the way the instructor showed me how to climb and what I needed to take note of.

Thinking More Deeply
I believe that with more practice, I can climb much better next time.
Thinking About Alternative Points of View
I like to consider others points of view because they proved many methods to climb one wall.

Conclusions

In the future I would like to try rock climbing again as it was a very enjoyable experience.

Day 4 Reflections:
Every night, you will be typing a one-paragraph reflection using the sentence starters from each section below. Post the reflection on the blog upon completion daily.

As a Record of What Happened
Thinking back over the day what I valued most was being able to buy gifts for others as I was unable to shop much the past 3 days.

Insights Into What You Think and Feel About the Ideas or Issues
I keep thinking about what I could buy for others in the short span of time that was meaningful and memorable.

Thinking About Your Own Learning
I know I need to change the way I shop for presents as I take a really long time to decide.

Thinking More Deeply
I believe that with more time, I could buy better and more presents for everyone.

Thinking About Alternative Points of View
I like to consider others points of view because it could speed up the time taken to choose and buy gifts.

Conclusions
I hope I can learn to choose gifts more efficiently.
