Reflection Day 1
Daily reflection
Thinking back over the day what I valued most was the stargazing activity. One thing that surprised me was that the sky was filled with stars, while in the Singapore night sky, we can't really see much. I really admire the way the teachers who taught us today on astronomy were so passionate about our galaxy. After what I have seen today, I agree with one of the teachers saying that stargazing is addictive. When I heard what the others in my group thought I was surprised because I did not know that they knew so much about the stars. In the future, I would like to do more stargazing if possible as I fun it really fun and exciting.

Reflection Day 2
Daily reflection
The most important event that happened to me today was the Tech dome visit. One of the things that surprised me was that after doing one of the activities, I had a headache. This is because I did not expect myself to have a headache after spinning around. I learn best when I am curious about something and the teacher explains it to us. I believe that only when we do first-hand activities then we would be able to grasp the science concepts behind the exhibits and learn more. When I heard what others in my group thought I was surprised because some of them knew so much about the sun when we were at the observatory. After today, I hope that I can learn to use a telescope and look at space.

Reflection Day 3
The most important event that happened to me today was the visit to the Heng Yi high school. One of the things that surprised me was that the school observatory was quite simple but they still managed to do many activities. I really admire the way the students in the school are able to do star gazing at any time as they have an observatory in the school. Through the experience today, I believe that we would be able to learn better if we have an observatory of our own so that we can do observations by ourselves. When I heard what the others in my group thought I was surprised because I did not realize that the sun would be at different places on different days at the same time. In the future, I hope that I can be more observant and notice trends I was not aware of before.

Reflection Day 4
Thinking back over the day what I valued most was the trips around Penang to learn about the different cultures. One of the things that surprised me was when the tour guide told us that during Chinese New Year, Chinese women threw oranges at the place and the men had to catch them. But in Singapore, the oranges are given to the elders during house visiting as a mark of respect. Something I found out about myself is that I need to be more aware of the schedule and do necessary preparations such as setting the alarm to wake up. In the future, I would like to be less forgetful and be on time.
